Spotlight: Seven-time winner on turf; last win was in this race last year off a 15lb higher mark; well beaten in his eight starts since then; big drop in the weights but the return to this race needs to spark a revival.
Spotlight: Built on a good fifth at Naas over a mile to win at Limerick last time over 7f; raised 8lb for that success but he is one for the shortlist
Spotlight: Cork apprentice handicap winner in May (1m, good) off 2lb lower; three runs following that were not at the same level, albeit his run at the Curragh last time in first-time cheekpieces was encouraging (1m, good); blinkers are now reapplied having been tried previously; claimer's allowance should make him competitive.
Spotlight: 4l third behind Lake Victoria on debut last year but out of her depth in high-quality contests following that; beaten just a head on return to action in a maiden at Gowran in April (7f, soft); didn't build on that in two subsequent runs; first-time hood is now applied; can't be dismissed on handicap debut.
Spotlight: Consecutive seconds over about 7f at Roscommon and Down Royal led to him being sent off favourite in a visor back at that track last time where he was a no show; all headgear is left off him now; he has the ability if putting it all together.
Spotlight: No wins on turf following 14 starts but has won three times on AW; beaten 2.75l at Leopardstown in June (7f, soft) and then beaten 4.5l by the same rival back at that track a week later (7f, good); had I'm Spartacus behind him that day; one of the likelier candidates.
Spotlight: Best run from six starts was a 5l third of 16 on heavy ground at Gowran in April (1m); weakened inside final furlong to finish eighth over 1m at Cork last time (good to yielding); drops back in trip now.
Spotlight: Three-time winner on AW at 1m; sole win on turf came over 6f at Naas in 2021 off a mark of 51; returns from a break here and best watched on return.
Spotlight: Got his fourth AW win at Dundalk in February over 6f; 0-16 on turf and eighth of 16 at Leopardstown over this trip last time (good); ran on well late that day so worth another go at this trip.
Spotlight: Winner of a maiden over this C&D in September last year; hasn't offered a great deal since that win; needs to return to the form of her win; poorly drawn.
Spotlight: Standout effort from four maiden starts was a 1.5l fourth of 12 at Naas (6f, yielding) in October; well beaten in two starts following that, including when 35l behind the winner at the Curragh when last seen in May (6f, good); much more needed on handicap debut
Spotlight: Winner at Wolverhampton in March but struggled off a revised mark back there in April; finished third over 1m at Limerick last time at odds of 33-1 (soft to heavy); would have finished closer that day with a smoother run up the straight; inquiry held into the riding of the horse that day; interesting runner but bad draw.
Spotlight: Dual-purpose gelding; ran well in defeat in some of his six maiden starts at 6f-1m when running in softer conditions for Joseph O'Brien; refused to race in first start for this stable in a Clonmel maiden hurdle and pulled up in a maiden hurdle at Punchestown last time; others preferred
Spotlight: Two wins last year were at Sligo over 1m2f off 64 and then on the AW at Wolverhampton for James Owen over 7f; two runs this summer over 1m2f for his new trainer have been underwhelming; drops back in trip here and was a good second at Gowran over this distance in May (good); interesting
Spotlight: Some okay runs in defeat in five maiden starts over 7f-1m; dropped 3lb after being well beaten at this track over 6f for her handicap debut (good to yielding); not obviously well treated on her form.
Spotlight: Didn't really progress at two; gelded and switched trainer for return at Roscommon eight days ago when tailed off; hard to see him featuring

Courtesy of the fact that Zaraahmondo is the only winner last time out, he is entitled to plenty of respect. Yet, DYNAMIC FORCE brings compelling claims with a pair of seconds prior to a below-par run last time. Verhoyen won this contest off a 15lb higher mark last year but his powers appear to be waning since then. Venetian is an interesting runner after he finished third despite traffic problems on his most recent start. [Denis Harney] Show less
