Spotlight: Returned to form on the step back up to 7f when finishing well for a last-gasp win at Chester (good; 12-1) ten days ago; up 3lb but he remains well handicapped on best form and should get a decent tow into this race; respected.

Spotlight: Gradually worked his way back to form for new yard last season and he ended that campaign with wins over C&D (good) and at Ayr (7f, good to firm); returns after 238 days off but he still looks feasibly treated and has won when fresh in the past; interesting contender.

Spotlight: His last win was 13 months ago but that was off 5lb higher and he returned to form with a creditable fourth behind Probe at Chester (cheekpieces) ten days ago; has a swing in the weights with his old rival and could be dangerous if he can take another step back in the right direction.

Spotlight: Effective on fast and soft ground and four of his wins have come at this trip; last success at Sandown in the autumn but he's been disappointing since including in two runs at Newmarket this season; now 2lb lower than for his last win but he needs to turn things around.

Spotlight: Both wins were over 6f in July 2023, with first in a seller and latest in a novice; two respectable efforts for new yard at Ripon this season but he needs to find more here and not sure this step up to 7f will suit.

Spotlight: Revitalised when returned to 7f+ last autumn, winning three times on turf; reappeared with a tenth of 13 over C&D last month but his fourth at Doncaster (6f, good to firm) two weeks later was more like it and has possibilities if he can build on that.

Spotlight: 12yo who recorded his 12th win when scoring off a reduced mark at Wolverhampton (7f, AW) in December; 3lb higher on his return but he remains well treated on old form and conditions are no problem on this switch back to turf; dangerous.

Spotlight: Won on handicap debut at Nottingham (6f, good to firm) last August but he's had only three runs since and has been well held in all of them; still lightly raced and now returns to turf but he has plenty to prove back up in trip.

Spotlight: Emphatic win in a Chelmsford maiden (1m, AW) for the Gosdens last May but she's found it tough going in handicaps and was ninth of 11 on stable debut at Wetherby (7f, good to firm) last month; may have needed that run but others are more convincing.

Spotlight: Veteran who was a smart sprinter in his prime but last win was four years ago and he's finished down the field in three runs this season; dropped another 3lb but he has lots to prove on this first run at 7f; visor removed.
